When Your Child Is Sick

Each day we reserve approximately half of our appointment slots to ensure that any child who needs to be seen in the office will be seen that day.

When Your Child Is Well

We follow the schedule recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. In order to provide a comprehensive exam and to address those questions that are most important to you, we ask you to fill out certain questionnaires in advance of your appointment.

After Hours Care

Children do not get sick on schedule, which means that you will sometimes need medical advice or treatment outside our regular office hours.  If it is a medical emergency that requires immediate attention, call 911.

For after hour advice there is always a provider available to help. Options for families

Symptom Checker -- is a powerful tool with good advice for families after hours - this is a tool that is endorsed by Healthychildren.org website--that is an educational site from the American Academy of pediatrics. This has a Red - Yellow - Green system of flagging complaints based on age of whether you should seek care immediately(red), the next day(yellow) or self care(green).

After hours phone advice--Our providers are at the ready 24/7 to assist you. If you have quick questions that are straightforward and require less than 5 minutes of professional time-there is no charge. For longer more complicated issues there will be a claim submitted for a Phone consultation.

If it is determined by you or the provider that this is an issue that lends itself to Telemed Visit after hours that will be discussed at the time of contact with the provider.

We offer urgent care hours on Saturday mornings. If you think your child will need to be seen, you can call the office between 8 am and 10 am to schedule an appointment for Saturday morning. Depending on which GTP provider is on call that weekend, clinic hours will be held in either the Chelsea or Ann Arbor office.
